About Your Local
Florist

After being introduced to floristry as a child by her grandparents, she went on to open her first shop, Lesley's Flower Shop,  here in Frome, when she was just 19 in 1987.

The shop was then sold in 1993, and Lesley went on to get married and have children. In 2009, Lesley returned to her passion when she retrained and gained her Higher Diploma in Floristry. Lesley has taught City and Guilds at a number of places, including South Bristol Skills Academy in Hengrove, Salisbury College, Radstock, Taunton, and Bridgwater.

Feeling it was the right time to run her own shop once again, Lesley took on Hoi P'loy, which was a mainly plant based shop at the time, and has worked hard to push the floristry side of the business to compliment the large selection of unusual house and garden plants.

The floristry side of the business has grown so much and especially during and since the covid pandemic that Lesley has now closed the shop in Cheap Street Frome and moved the business to a large workshop. Still based in Frome and providing a service to anyone needing flowers for occasions such as a Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding flowers and Funeral tributes. Also providing a local delivery service.
